Kenya lchamama is a dynamic and memorable coffee. lchamama is a coffee wet mill, or 'factory' as they're called in Kenya. It is one of nineteen factories cooperatively run under the umbrella of the greater Othaya Farmers Cooperative Society.
Over 900 smallholder farmers deliver their freshly picked coffee cherries to lchamama for processing. Here they also have access to seedlings, agricultural products and education. lchamama processes coffee in the classic Kenyan washed method with meticulous attention to detail at every step. Coffee cherries are depulped and any remaining fruit mucilage is removed through fermentation and washing with clean water. The coffee is then dried on raised beds. This coffee gives us everything we love about Kenyan coffees.
It is has a medium body, great sweetness, vivid fruit, and intense floral notes. This is a complex, intense, bright and balanced coffee. From the slopes of Mount Kenya, please enjoy Kenya lchamama.
