The Atelye Thevenet women’s artisan cooperative, based in Jean Rabel, Haiti, produces unique, handcrafted items. As a direct-trade collaboration between the cooperative, Panther Coffee, and St. Thomas University, it represents an alternative approach to trade that is rooted in a commitment to uphold the dignity of every person.
Projects such as these support ecologically and economically sustainable development, pay living wages, and build mutually respectful, long-term trading relationships between consumers and disadvantaged producers from around the world.
